Bhaktivedanta VedaBase: Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 9.6.32

na mamāra pitā tasya

vipra-deva-prasādataḥ

yuvanāśvo 'tha tatraiva

tapasā siddhim anvagāt

SYNONYMS

na — not; mamāra — died; pitā — the father; tasya — of the baby; vipra-deva-prasādataḥ — because of the mercy and blessings of the brāhmaṇas; yuvanāśvaḥ — King Yuvanāśva; atha — thereafter; tatra evain that very place; tapasā — by executing austerity; siddhim — perfection; anvagāt — achieved.

TRANSLATION

Because Yuvanāśva, the father of the baby, was blessed by the brāhmaṇas, he did not fall a victim to death. After this incident, he performed severe austerities and achieved perfection in that very spot.
