citraseno nariṣyantād

ṛkṣas tasya suto 'bhavat

tasya mīḍhvāḿs tataḥ pūrṇa

indrasenas tu tat-sutaḥ

SYNONYMS

citrasenaḥ — one named Citrasena; nariṣyantāt — from Nariṣyanta, another son of Manu; ṛkṣaḥṚkṣa; tasya — of Citrasena; sutaḥ — the son; abhavat — became; tasya — of him (Ṛkṣa); mīḍhvānMīḍhvān; tataḥ — from him (Mīḍhvān); pūrṇaḥPūrṇa; indrasenaḥIndrasena; tu — but; tat-sutaḥ — the son of him (Pūrṇa).

TRANSLATION

From Nariṣyanta came a son named Citrasena and from him a son named Ṛkṣa. From Ṛkṣa came Mīḍhvān, from Mīḍhvān came Pūrṇa, and from Pūrṇa came Indrasena.
