ye 'vaśiṣṭā raṇe tasmin

nāradānumatena te

baliḿ vipannam ādāya

astaḿ girim upāgaman

SYNONYMS

ye — some of the demons who; avaśiṣṭāḥ — remained; raṇein the fight; tasminin that; nārada-anumatena — by the order of Nārada; te — all of them; balimMahārāja Bali; vipannamin reverses; ādāya — taking; astam — named Asta; girimto the mountain; upāgaman — went.

TRANSLATION

Following the order of Nārada Muni, whatever demons remained on the battlefield took Bali Mahārāja, who was in a precarious condition, to the hill known as Astagiri.
