chāyā śanaiścaraḿ lebhe
sāvarṇiḿ ca manuḿ tataḥ
kanyāḿ ca tapatīḿ yā vai
vavre saḿvaraṇaḿ patim
SYNONYMS
chāyā — Chāyā, another wife of the sun-god; śanaiścaram — Saturn; lebhe — begot; sāvarṇim — Sāvarṇi; ca — and; manum — the Manu; tataḥ — from him (Vivasvān); kanyām — one daughter; ca — as well as; tapatīm — named Tapatī; yā — who; vai — indeed; vavre — married; saḿvaraṇam — Saḿvaraṇa; patim — husband.
TRANSLATION
Chāyā, another wife of the sun-god, begot two sons named Śanaiścara and Sāvarṇi Manu, and one daughter, Tapatī, who married Saḿvaraṇa.
