eteṣām api rājendra

tanu-jānāḿ madhu-dviṣaḥ

pradyumna āsīt prathamaḥ

pitṛ-vad rukmiṇī-sutaḥ

SYNONYMS

eteṣām — of these; api — and; rāja-indraO most eminent of kings; tanu-jānām — sons; madhu-dviṣaḥ — of Kṛṣṇa, enemy of the demon Madhu; pradyumnaḥPradyumna; āsīt — was; prathamaḥ — first; pitṛvat — just like His father; rukmiṇī-sutaḥ — son of Rukmiṇī.

TRANSLATION

O best of kings, of these sons begotten by Lord Kṛṣṇa, the enemy of Madhu, the most prominent was Rukmiṇī's son Pradyumna. He was just like His father.
