evaḿ vedoditaḿ dharmam

anutiṣṭhan satāḿ gatiḥ

gṛhaḿ dharmārtha-kāmānāḿ

muhuś cādarśayat padam

SYNONYMS

evamin this manner; veda — by the Vedas; uditam — spoken; dharmam — the principles of religion; anutiṣṭhan — executing; satām — of saintly devotees; gatiḥ — the goal; gṛham — one's home; dharma — of religiosity; artha — economic development; kāmānām — and sense gratification; muhuḥ — repeatedly; ca — and; ādarśayatHe demonstrated; padamas the place.

TRANSLATION

Thus observing the principles of duty enunciated in the Vedas, Lord Kṛṣṇa, the goal of the saintly devotees, repeatedly demonstrated how one can achieve at home the objectives of religiosity, economic development and regulated sense gratification.
