so 'paśyat tatra mahatīḿ

kanyāḿ vīra-mano-harām

prīty-utphullekṣaṇas tasyāḿ

bhāva-kṣubdhaḿ mano dadhe

SYNONYMS

saḥhe; apaśyat — saw; tatra — there; mahatīm — wonderful; kanyām — the girl; vīrato heroes; manaḥ-harām — enchanting; prīti — with happiness; utphulla — blossoming; īkṣanaḥ — his eyes; tasyām — upon her; bhāva — with emotion; kṣubdham — agitated; manaḥ — his mind; dadhehe put.

TRANSLATION

There he saw the wonderful maiden Subhadrā, who was enchanting to heroes. His eyes opened wide with delight, and his mind became agitated and absorbed in thoughts of her.
