te 'cyutaḿ prāptam ākarṇya

paurā jānapadā nṛpa

abhīyur muditās tasmai

gṛhītārhaṇa-pāṇayaḥ

SYNONYMS

te — they; acyutam — Lord Kṛṣṇa; prāptam — arrived; ākarṇya — hearing; paurāḥ — the people of the city; jānapadāḥ — and of the villages; nṛpaO King; abhīyuḥ — came forward; muditāḥ — joyful; tasmaito Him; gṛhīta — holding; arhaṇa — offerings to present to Him; pāṇayaḥin their hands.

TRANSLATION

Hearing that Lord Acyuta had arrived, O King, the residents of the cities and villages of Videha joyfully came forth to receive Him with offerings in their hands.
