rāma rāmākhilādhāra

prabhāvaḿ na vidāma te

mūḍhānāḿ naḥ ku-buddhīnāḿ

kṣantum arhasy atikramam

SYNONYMS

rāma rāmaO Rāma, Rāma; akhila — of everything; ādhāraO foundation; prabhāvam — power; na vidāma — we do not know; te — Your; mūḍhānām — of befooled persons; naḥ — us; ku — bad; buddhīnām — whose understanding; kṣantum arhasi — You should please forgive; atikramam — the offense.

TRANSLATION

[The Kauravas said:] O Rāma, Rāma, foundation of everything! We know nothing of Your power. Please excuse our offense, for we are ignorant and misguided.
