yasya pāda-yugaḿ sākṣāc

chrīr upāste 'khileśvarī

sa nārhati kila śrīśo

naradeva-paricchadān

SYNONYMS

yasya — whose; pāda-yugam — two feet; sākṣāt — herself; śrīḥ — the goddess of fortune; upāste — worships; akhila — of the whole universe; īśvarī — the ruler; saḥHe; na arhati — does not deserve; kila — indeed; śrī-īśaḥ — the master of the goddess of fortune; nara-deva — of a human king; paricchadān — the paraphernalia.

TRANSLATION

"The goddess of fortune herself, ruler of the entire universe, worships His feet. And the master of the goddess of fortune does not deserve the paraphernalia of a mortal king?
