Bhaktivedanta VedaBase: Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 10.39.13

gopyas tās tad upaśrutya

babhūvur vyathitā bhṛśam

rāma-kṛṣṇau purīḿ netum

akrūraḿ vrajam āgatam

SYNONYMS

gopyaḥ — the cowherd girls; tāḥ — they; tat — then; upaśrutya — hearing; babhūvuḥ — became; vyathitāḥ — distressed; bhṛśam — extremely; rāma-kṛṣṇauBalarāma and Kṛṣṇa; purīmto the city; netumto take; akrūramAkrūra; vrajamto Vṛndāvana; āgatam — come.

TRANSLATION

When the young gopīs heard that Akrūra had come to Vraja to take Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma to the city, they became extremely distressed.
