krīḍiṣyamāṇas tat krṣṇo
bhagavān bala-saḿyutaḥ
veṇuḿ viraṇayan gopair
go-dhanaiḥ saḿvṛto 'viśat
SYNONYMS
krīḍiṣyamāṇaḥ — intending to play; tat — that (Vṛndāvana forest); kṛṣṇaḥ — Kṛṣṇa; bhagavān — the Supreme Personality of Godhead; bala-saḿyutaḥ — accompanied by Balarāma; veṇum — His flute; viraṇayan — sounding; gopaiḥ — by the cowherd boys; go-dhanaiḥ — and the cows, who are their wealth; saḿvṛtaḥ — surrounded; aviśat — He entered.
TRANSLATION
Intending to engage in pastimes, Lord Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, accompanied by Lord Balarāma and surrounded by the cowherd boys and the cows, entered the forest of Vṛndāvana as He played His flute.
