āmi — ajña, 'hita'-sthāne māni 'apamāne'

indra yena kṛṣṇera nindā karila ajñāne

SYNONYMS

āmiI; ajña — ignorant fool; hita-sthāne — what is for my benefit; māniI consider; apamāneas an insult; indra — King Indra; yenaas; kṛṣṇera — of Lord Kṛṣṇa; nindā — offense; karila — did; ajñāne — out of ignorance.

TRANSLATION

"I am an ignorant fool, for I interpret as an insult what is meant for my benefit. In this way I am just like King Indra, who out of ignorance tried to surpass Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Lord.
