kabhu bhāve magna, kabhu ardha-bāhya-sphūrti

kabhu bāhya-sphūrti, — tina rīte prabhu-sthiti

SYNONYMS

kabhu — sometimes; bhāvein ecstatic emotion; magna — merged; kabhu — sometimes; ardha — half; bāhya-sphūrtiin external consciousness; kabhu — sometimes; bāhya-sphūrtiin full external consciousness; tina rītein three ways; prabhu-sthiti — the situation of the Lord.

TRANSLATION

The Lord would maintain Himself in three states of consciousness: sometimes He merged totally in ecstatic emotion, sometimes He was in partial external consciousness, and sometimes He was in full external consciousness.
